About New Kompas

Why I Created New
Kompas

New Kompas came from my own personal experiences working in disability, mental health, and support work for many years — both in Australia and in the Netherlands.

I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the overwhelming. I’ve seen participants and families carrying stress they shouldn’t have to carry. And I’ve seen how confusing and unfair the NDIS can be when no one explains things properly.

After years of being “on the ground” as a support worker and later as a Support Coordinator and Recovery Coach, I realised something very simple:

People don’t need more paperwork. They need someone who genuinely cares, listens properly, and actually does the work.

I created New Kompas because I wanted to do things differently.
I wanted to offer support that is:

Just real support for real people.

A kompas (compass) shows direction — and that is what I want New Kompas to be for people. A steady point when everything else feels messy or overwhelming. A place where people feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment.

This isn’t just a business for me.

It’s something I’ve built from scratch with my own values and the type of support I wish more participants had.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple:

To provide support that actually makes sense and actually helps.

We are here to:

We focus on the person first — not the paperwork, not the funding, not the system.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be the kind of support people feel safe with.

A service where:

We want New Kompas to represent:

At the end of the day, our vision is simple:

People shouldn’t have to fight the system alone.

We’re here to stand with you, guide you, and make the path forward clearer.
