New Kompas came from my own personal experiences working in disability, mental health, and support work for many years — both in Australia and in the Netherlands.
I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the overwhelming. I’ve seen participants and families carrying stress they shouldn’t have to carry. And I’ve seen how confusing and unfair the NDIS can be when no one explains things properly.
After years of being “on the ground” as a support worker and later as a Support Coordinator and Recovery Coach, I realised something very simple:
I created New Kompas because I wanted to do things differently. I wanted to offer support that is:
Just real support for real people.
A kompas (compass) shows direction — and that is what I want New Kompas to be for people. A steady point when everything else feels messy or overwhelming. A place where people feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment.
We’re here to stand with you, guide you, and make the path forward clearer.
